Stinson Beach

We're back to our summer weather, so we packed a picnic and drove out to Stinson Beach for some playing in the surf type fun.

Sunny Saturday in SF

Without much planning, our Saturday turned into the perfect San Francisco day:
- Paddle Boats in Golden Gate Park's Stow Lake in the morning
- Walked down the hill to the Academy of Sciences, same location as Nate the day before. No crowds!
- Nate (almost) kissed his favorite, the flying snake. Julie's favorite, of course, was "everything".
- Tour of the humid butterfly exhibit in the rain forest dome & then aquarium downstairs.
- Planetarium show ("Life in the Cosmos"). Mom & Dad got slightly ill from the swooping visual effects.
- Burgermeister dinner in SF with friends Chloe & Delphine.
- Dessert at their house, complete with after-dessert kid's performance of "Snow White".

Third Grade Field Trip

I accompanied Nate's class to the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, our first field-trip on a public bus, and was given responsibility for playing docent to four (great) kids through the planetarium, rain forest, and aquarium exhibits. Fun day!

Our Summer-in-Winter Continues

It's the first week of January, we still haven't had more than a day of light rain in the past seven weeks. This can only mean one thing: bike ride. We've been riding to through the Lafayette Park and taking the trail behind our house to the (dried up) waterfall every weekend. Here's Julie running up the hill from one of their favorite tree swings.

There goes the backyard

Another day, another disaster.

TV Disaster

That's the last time we give Nate and Julie rocket launchers for Christmas.
