Last week we joined a couple other families to pick fruit in an older gentleman's house in Lafayette so that we could give to the Contra Costa Food Bank. Organized through Urban Farmers, the harvest took less than two hours with only three trees, but resulted in over eight large bins of beautiful pears and apples.
