Nate entered his first chess tournament at the Berkeley Chess School as an unranked, Advanced I player. Afterwards, with medal in hand, we celebrated with a trip to the Berkeley Vivarium to hold a couple of baby snakes and to have a lunch at one of my favorite mexican restaurants.
