Making rain beer

 

I decided to try a little experiment. It's still gurgling in the primary fermenter two weeks after brewing -- twice the fermentation period -- so it be interesting to see how it turns out.

One of the parents at our school who is a professional photographer took pictures of the kids today. These will be selling online as part of a fundraiser, and this is the first sample photograph she sent out to parents today. Perhaps I shouldn't post it, it puts our photos to shame.

Santa Cruz & Capitola

 

 

 

 

It's been too long since we've spent time by the ocean. We had amazing, sunny weather while it was foggy in Lafayette, a strange change from the usual fogginess by the sea. With Len and Dan we walked the Santa Cruz pier to visit sea lions and pelicans, had an outdoor lunch at the Crow's Nest on the beach, and toured up and down Capitola. There's something inherently relaxing about the ocean...Gina and I are already thinking we need an ocean vacation planned later this winter.
